Since the Internet became popular with children, they are exposed to more risks and dangers on the Internet. It is the responsibility of parents to protect from the dangers of cyberspace blooms of innocence.

First thing to do for parents to educate themselves about computers. While the parents are still trying to use the microwave, their children are entering a whole new exciting world of cyberspace. It is a matter of fact, that our children are sharper than us, but if we are determined to protect them then we should be bolder and more.

It is important that parents learn about computers, their language and Internet savvy. Children are very sharp, and they're easy to dodge their parents. In 95% of parents do not recognize General language Internet, that their children use to communicate with friends. (National Centre for missing and exploited children, June 2000), they use the Internet as POS for parents over his shoulder, BRB for be right back, ASL for ' age/sex/location ', etc. Even if parents monitoring their children, they would not understand the language. Many parents don't even know how to test computer history to know which sites their children visit. It is therefore necessary to keep abreast of it all. Without full knowledge of computers and the Internet, parents can never protect their children from potential harm.

After teaching themselves, all parents must come up with some rules of cyberspace for their children. Remember that the Internet is not a right of the child, but a privilege! Some people think that they should respect the privacy of their children and should not interfere in their lives so much. 77% of parents do not have rules about what their children can do on the Internet. (Kaiser Family Foundation Study, March 2005)

Here are some rules that must be implemented in the House to make your child's online experience safe, educational and entertaining.

1. place the computer into the living room or in a place where you also have to monitor your child.
2. Disable chat rooms.
3. teach children never to give out personal information to anyone on the Internet and never meet someone in person, they only met online.
4. limit the amount of time your child spends on the Internet. Do not allow them to use the Internet at night.
5. don't allow your child to have public profiles with their photographs on the Internet.
6. review your child's instant messaging presence to be another list on a regular basis.

However, these rules are not sufficient to fully protect the child. In addition to these parents should use protection software are readily available. They need to use filters and parental control software to block inappropriate sites. Delivery of programs and viruses that block pop-up Windows must be installed in your computer to ensure that children do not receive pornographic letters and that those sites do not flood the innocent online experience for your child.

To achieve 100% safety can also be used in closed secure systems. This system enables children to only those sites that, in appropriate cases, their parents. In this system, children are locked from inappropriate content on the Internet.

The involvement of parents in their children's lives has played a major role in its protection. They should try to create an atmosphere of trust and love to their children. They must remember this, their children, especially adolescents are very critical period in which their role as trustee not enemy — is important. It was found that children who are close to their parents, as less than get into trouble.

To make the Internet safe and appropriate technologies to youth in our nation, we must work hard and serious about this issue.

Remember that your child's life is at stake and it is your responsibility to protect him and without your cooperation, all other efforts.
