7 tips to consider when buying a cheap laptop

Written By anfaku01 on Sunday, June 12, 2011 | 11:03 AM

Buying a new computer, an inexpensive laptop can sometimes be a daunting task. There are so many things you should consider. You should make sure that you get the best deal for the price you pay. Also make sure you are not ripped off or overpay for any of the functions. That is why I have seven tips and tricks for you to implement when you buy a new computer, an inexpensive laptop.

1. Make sure you don't choose to guarantee 5 years-yet always seemed like a good option because they say they will protect your computer, if anything happens. This can be useful, but most computers can typically be years without getting damaged. And as for the 5 year warranty, most people will get tired of their computers for about three years, and they want the latest technology. Thus all really no need for a 5 year warranty. It's just an additional cost and you don't even need them.

2. Ports-only buy the ones that you need. Typically, for most people, only important ones are the ports for HDMI, SD card and USB. If you go over, they typically cost more money. May end up paying money for ports that you don't even need to.

3. don't fall for the latest and greatest element. They may seem large, but they usually way overpriced. For example, an older version can have up to $ 300 cheaper than the newer version. Yes I agree, new versions of all cool, but why not stick with the old version and save money when all you really need.

4. check the battery. If the batteries aren't all that great and the laptop is very expensive, you know that this is not a good buy. Picture of battery is good and seems on the right price.

5. try to avoid additional accessory when buying an inexpensive laptop. Sometimes they will ask you to buy extra field or Web camera accessories. However, most of the time they are not necessary. So if you want low-cost laptops, make sure they don't fall for these tricks and end up paying more than necessary.

6. Screen size-you don't need a huge screen. Usually it is up to 15 inches is good enough. In fact, in some States, there is an additional cost to low-cost laptops that are more 15.6. But if that's what you need, by all means go ahead.

7. stick to major versions. Don't fall for the icing on the cake. If there is an option between Windows Home professional, and Windows ultimate and the price is $ 200, you should go for Windows home professional. If you really feel like you need a Windows ultimate, then buy it separately. Don't pay $ 200 extra for already installed software.

If you follow these seven tips and tricks, bearing in mind that you'll end up paying far less for an inexpensive laptop. In fact you will be putting money back in your pocket.
